There are days when you can’t ride. The weather is not favorable, your bike needs repairs, you need to baby sit. The reasons could be endless and sometimes mindless. That doesn’t mean, you need to be away from motorcycles.

When not riding, we enjoy watching movies on motorcycles. Here is a list of our all time favorite motorcycle movies.


Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man is a movie about two friends named “Harley Davidson” and “Marlboro Man”. It is an action film and it has an overdose of action. There are fistfights, gunfights, motorcycle chases, explosions and jumping from tall buildings into a swimming pool. In all these scenes, the protagonist comes out unscratched.

It defines the cool about biking, but don’t expect too much of a story plot from this movie.


The movie is a biopic about the motorcycle journey of Ernesto Guevara, years before he became the celebrated Che Guevara. The movie takes us through the journey across South America, which Ernesto took along with his friend Alberto Granado.

Though the movie has nothing to do with the revolution, it shows how the initial seeds of the revolutionary Che were planted.

Started as an adventurous motorcycle trip of two friends, the friends encounter the disparity of the haves and the have-nots.

Gael Garcia who plays Che in the movie, underwent a 6 month training for the role and it shows. The plot is well researched and the acting is from a different world.


“What are you rebelling against, Johnny?” asks a local girl to Johnny. He answers “Whaddaya got?” The famous scene is from the uber cool movie “The Wild One” which features the legendary Marlon Brando in the lead role of Johnny.

Johnny is the leader of a Notorious Motorcycle Gang and is considered the “Original Outlaw Biker Film”. The movie revolves around two rival biker gangs who meet in a small town and create havoc. The movie has it twists and turns along the way and is a must watch for Marlon Brando Fans.


On Any Sunday is a documentary on Motorcycle Sport. It is often considered the best or/and the most important motorcycle documentary ever made. The movie feature Steve McQueen, who has also partially produced the film. The movie features the most celebrated bikers of the 60-70s and motorcycles like Triumph, Harley Davidson, Honda, Suzuki along with some manufactures who have stopped their business like BSA.


The movie is based on a true story of New Zealander Burt Munro who sets sail to the US to break the world speed record in his custom Indian Scout Motorcycle. In the story, Burt faces bureaucracy and skeptism of the big town Americans. He is driven by his dream and finally makes it to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. He faces one last hurdle in Utah and then races his Indian Scout in an attempt to set the record.


The movie is exactly what it is called; it’s Easy and it’s about Riding. Everything other than this is just a plot.

Easy Rider is a movie about two Hippies who have completed a drug deal. They stack the money in a plastic bag and stuff it in the fuel tanks of their Harley Davidsons and ride through America to find Peace. During their journey, they fall in love, give a ride to a hitchhiker, and get into trouble with the law and what not. It is the ultimate free flowing Riding Movie to enjoy with your riding buddies.
